Cookie Policy
Last updated: 30 August 2026
This Cookie Policy explains what cookies and similar technologies are, how OnlyPaw uses them on onlypaw.net, and how you can control them. It is a companion to our Privacy Policy.
1. What cookies are
Cookies are small text files that a website stores on your device. They let the site remember your actions and preferences (like language, region, or login state) over time. Similar technologies — local storage, session storage, pixels — behave the same way for the purposes of this policy.
2. Categories we use
2.1 Strictly necessary
Required for the site to function. These cannot be switched off. Examples: remembering your cookie-consent choice (op_consent_v1), security tokens, load-balancer routing.
2.2 Analytics
We use Google Analytics 4 (property G-DMJQD9WK9S) to understand how visitors reach and use the site — which pages convert, where drop-offs happen, and which content resonates. We deploy GA4 with Consent Mode v2: no analytics data is collected until you opt in via the on-page banner.
2.3 Advertising
If you opt in, we may use Google's advertising storage to measure the effectiveness of paid campaigns and to show relevant OnlyPaw ads on Google and partner networks. We do not sell personal data.
2.4 Functional
Used to remember non-essential preferences you set — for example, the language selector at the top of every page.
3. Third-party services that may set cookies
- Google Analytics 4 — traffic analytics. Google's cookie documentation.
- Google Tag Manager — tag deployment.
- Google Fonts — no cookies set by Google Fonts.
- Stripe — used on signup/payment flows for fraud detection. See Stripe's cookie policy.
4. Managing your choices
On your first visit, our on-page consent banner asks you to Accept all or Reject non-essential. Your choice is stored in your browser under the key op_consent_v1 and honoured on every subsequent page.
To change your choice later:
- Clear the
op_consent_v1key from your browser's site data foronlypaw.net. The banner will re-appear on your next visit. - Or block cookies from
onlypaw.netandgoogletagmanager.comin your browser settings. - Or use browser-level Do-Not-Track / Global Privacy Control signals — GA4 Consent Mode respects them where enabled.
5. Retention
The op_consent_v1 record has no expiry — it persists until you clear it. Analytics identifiers set by Google Analytics 4 default to a 2-month retention on OnlyPaw's property.
6. Legal basis
Under GDPR (EU/UK/CH) and equivalent frameworks (UAE PDPL, California CCPA/CPRA, Brazil LGPD), we rely on your explicit consent for analytics and advertising cookies, and on legitimate interest for strictly-necessary cookies.
