Pet Grooming in Doha: what to know
Doha ranges from the towers of West Bay, The Pearl and Lusail to villa and compound areas such as Al Waab and Al Gharafa. Busy work schedules and frequent travel make dependable local pet care valuable.
Heat and humidity in Doha call for regular baths, brushing and ear care. Keep double-coated breeds brushed out rather than shaved, and ask your groomer about heat-friendly routines.
Heat and weather in Doha
Doha's summers are extremely hot and humid, with daytime highs often above 40°C from May to September. Walks belong to early morning and late evening, and pets should never be left in cars or on balconies in the heat.
In hot months, book grooming for the cooler part of the day, and ask for a coat length that protects against sun rather than a shave-down for double-coated breeds.
Planning around the seasons in Doha
A good rhythm is a bath and de-shed before the hot months (May to September), a regular routine through the summer, and a bigger groom saved for the cooler months (November to March).

Pet Grooming in Doha — FAQ
Is pet grooming available in Doha?
OnlyPaw is available worldwide. Availability in Doha depends on how many groomers have been approved near you — the app shows who's available for your address before you book.
How much does pet grooming cost in Doha?
Groomers in Doha set their own prices in QAR, so you see each provider's rate before you book. At checkout OnlyPaw adds a service fee of 10% of the service price, with a minimum of USD 2 and a maximum of USD 20 (or the equivalent in your local currency), shown before you pay. Your payment is held and only released to the provider after the service is completed.
How are groomers in Doha vetted?
Every groomer in Doha must submit a government ID, a selfie and a grooming certificate, and pass a pet-safety knowledge test with a 70% pass mark. The OnlyPaw team reviews each application — and each additional service — before it goes live.
Should I shave my dog for the Doha heat?
Usually not for double-coated breeds such as huskies, golden retrievers or German shepherds — their coat insulates against heat and sunburn. Regular de-shedding and brushing keep them cooler. Single-coated breeds can have shorter trims; ask your groomer in the chat.
What if I need to cancel?
Each provider uses one of three cancellation policies. Under the default moderate policy you get a full refund if you cancel at least 24 hours before the start, 50% if you cancel at least 2 hours before, and nothing in the last 2 hours. The flexible policy refunds in full up to 2 hours before the start; the strict policy refunds in full from 48 hours and 50% from 24 hours before.
What happens in an emergency?
Every active booking has an SOS button in the app. It alerts the other party and the OnlyPaw team straight away. If your pet needs urgent medical care, contact a vet or emergency clinic first.
