Local rules to check in India
OnlyPaw verifies your identity, service documents and knowledge test. Separately, paid pet care in India may involve local registrations or permits such as:
- Aadhaar card + PAN
- Address proof (utility bill / rent agreement)
- Police verification certificate
- GSTIN if annual turnover exceeds ₹20 lakh (₹10 lakh in special-category states)
- For boarding: municipal / cantonment board licence + CPCSEA guidelines compliance
You'll be treated as a self-employed service provider — file ITR under 'Profits and Gains from Business or Profession'. Presumptive taxation under Section 44ADA is available if you provide professional services. Home boarding in gated communities may need RWA approval; commercial kennels need Animal Welfare Board of India registration.
These are general pointers, not legal advice — rules change, so confirm them with the relevant authorities before you start.
