Pet Taxi in Johannesburg: what to know
Book rides to the vet, groomer or OR Tambo with pickup and drop-off on the map, tracked by GPS.
Getting around Johannesburg with a pet
Pets are generally not allowed on the Gautrain or buses (service animals excepted), and ride-hailing drivers may refuse animals. A pet taxi is the simplest way to reach the vet, a groomer or the airport.
Local rules worth knowing
Keep your dog vaccinated against rabies, as required in South Africa, and keep the records handy. City by-laws set rules such as how many dogs a property may keep and keeping dogs on a lead in public spaces.
Before you book
Set exact pickup and drop-off points on the map, mention your pet's size and whether you have a carrier, and say if someone will ride along.
Keep your pet's vaccinations and any local registration up to date and carry the records — providers may ask to see them before the first booking.

Each provider uses one of three cancellation policies. Under the default moderate policy you get a full refund if you cancel at least 24 hours before the start, 50% if you cancel at least 2 hours before, and nothing in the last 2 hours.
