Dog Walking in Jeddah: what to know
Jeddah stretches along the Red Sea coast, from central districts such as Al Hamra and Al Rawdah to the seaside homes of Al Shati and North Obhur. Families, compounds and apartment buildings sit side by side, and cats are among the most common pets.
Most dog walks in Jeddah happen around compounds and quiet residential streets; the Corniche and beaches have their own rules. Early-morning walks before the humidity peaks are kindest to your dog.
Heat and weather in Jeddah
Jeddah is hot and humid for most of the year, without a real cold season. Humidity makes heat harder on pets because panting cools them less effectively, so keep outdoor activity short, shaded and outside the hottest hours.
Ask for walks before about 7am or after sunset in the hot months, keep them short, and let your walker skip or shorten a walk if the ground is too hot — a quick back-of-the-hand test on the pavement tells you in seconds.
Planning around the seasons in Jeddah
Save longer walks and new routes for the cooler months (December to February); during the hot months (May to October), stick to short outings at dawn or after dark and add indoor games for extra exercise.
Before you book
Walkers can offer extras such as photo updates, a report card, pick-up from home or an extra 30 minutes — you see what each walker offers before booking.
Keep vaccination records current and follow your building's or compound's pet rules.

The flexible policy refunds in full up to 2 hours before the start; the strict policy refunds in full from 48 hours and 50% from 24 hours before.
What happens in an emergency?
